Volunteering for Friends of Children can be your way to support Northern BC or East Kootenay children in medical need.  We rely upon excellent community partnerships to minimize our volunteer’s time in helping with fundraising events. Friends of Children usually require 2-3 volunteers to support the business or community group hosting an event to raise funds for us.

Each donor’s contribution goes to assist families who face challenges when caring for their child. If you believe in supporting a local charity with some volunteer hours, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our goal is to build a volunteer base of Friends of Children who can contact when volunteers are requested for specific events.

Friends of Children Society is a non-profit organization consisting of a volunteer board plus a volunteer disbursement committee.  The board and committee meet once a month to review the Northern BC and East Kootenay services provided to families with children in medical need.  The Annual General Meeting in April of each year is when the volunteer board is elected.
